AMT-Systems Oy is an automation industry company founded in 1990. We design, manufacture, and maintain complete automation systems for industrial applications. Our team currently consists of approximately 23 automation professionals, and our revenue in 2025 was approximately €3.8 million.

We are systematically developing our operations based on our growth strategy. We operate in new, modern premises in Pilkko, Joensuu, just a short distance from the city centre.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer in Joensuu

Would you like to design automation production lines that improve our customers’ production efficiency and see how your designs work in practice?

AMT-Systems Oy is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our skilled team and work on demanding production automation solutions. We deliver customised automation lines for our customers, including solutions for product assembly and packaging.

In this role, you will participate in project delivery from the initial concept through to a complete, fully operational production solution.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing the mechanical systems and equipment assemblies of automation lines

  • Developing solutions for the automated assembly, handling, and packaging of products

  • Creating 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation

  • Selecting components and improving the functionality, safety, and manufacturability of structures

  • Working closely with our automation, electrical, and manufacturing specialists

  • Seeing your own design work take shape as a completed automation line

Your Qualifications

What we expect from you:

A relevant technical qualification, experience in mechanical design for industrial applications, and strong 3D CAD skills. We value a practical approach to problem-solving, an independent and proactive working style, and an understanding of the manufacturing and assembly of machinery and automation lines.
